FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Ive compiled a list of frequently asked questions for your convenience. If you have other questions, feel free to contact me.
You are based in Shropshire, do you travel elsewhere?
Absolutely! I have been very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to travel the world as a Photographer and Videographer. I regularly travel around the UK to shoot weddings.
How do we book you?
Booking is simple. Just contact me at any time and I will check availability. If I have your date available we can arrange a meeting over a coffee or have a chat over the phone or Skype to talk about your day and requirements. I require a completed and signed contract and a non-refundable booking fee of £250 to secure my services for your wedding date. The retainer fee can be paid by bank transfer or cheque. I can not hold dates without the form and fee. The remainder of the balance is due one month before the wedding date.
How would you describe your style?
Please take a look at my approach page to get a complete picture of my style and approach to weddings.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes. I offer engagement sessions for £250. If you then decide to choose me to photograph your wedding I can provide a discount on photography packages.
Are you insured?
Absolutely! I am fully insured. I have professional indemnity insurance along with public liability insurance. Many wedding venues will insist that all your suppliers have appropriate insurance so I encourage you to make sure that every photographer you speak to also has full insurance.
Do you have a second shooter?
No. I have been shooting weddings for a few years now and have never missed vital or important moments because of not having a second shooter. I do this to maintain quality and consistency throughout your wedding day. If you really want a second shooter it can be arranged, but at an extra cost.
Do you have back up equipment?
Yes. I only use the best equipment for your day and ensure i have back up equipment for everything.
Do you provide albums?
Yes. All my bride and grooms have different requirements when it comes down to packages. I offer an array of premium printed albums at different sizes, we can discuss these options during your consultation.
Do we have to have formal and family official photographs?
Not at all. Like I have said all my clients have different requirements. Some want formal and posed photos from their day and others don’t want any at all. We will discuss this on your consultation. All of my weddings are 100% personal to you and what you want. If you do want formal and family photos my advice would be to keep them at a maximum of 10 photos. What happens after the wedding?
DO WE NEED TO PROVIDE YOU A MEAL AT THE WEDDING?
Absolutely not! I appreciate the thought but understand how expensive a meal is at a wedding. I would never expect you to worry about me and my stomach. I always use that time to go and back up all the images i have taken up to that point and if i have time may grab something from the bar.
What happens after the wedding?
Once your wedding is over, the sad fact is the only thing you will have to remind you of your wonderful day is the memories, stories and photographs and video. The cake will be eaten, the dress will be stored and the flowers will die or fade. Because of the importance to me of helping you cherish those memories, it may take up to six weeks for me to edit your wedding photographs/Video (often quicker). You will be sent a link to your password protected online gallery, and after that, if chosen the USBs, prints and albums will be produced. I use the very best suppliers for my USBs, albums and packaging. My albums are hand built and so it can take four weeks for the albums to arrive once ordered.
We already have a photographer, can you do videography?
Yes. I have been hired to shoot video for a number of weddings with 100% 5* reviews. Take a look at my wedding videography portfolio for more information.
Can you do photography and videography?
I don’t offer photography and videography packages for your day. I can only do one or the other. The main reason is because i will not be able to provide a full high quality service as both require different approaches. I also use completely different equipment for both and it will be impossible to capture the important moments at the same time. To get the very best results i recommend using two separate people for each.
