Documentary wedding photography. Based in Shropshire, shooting across the UK.
WHY I GIVE A SHIT ABOUT ANY OF THIS
I shot a wedding with eleven people in the ceremony. Bride, groom, two registrars, me, and a handful of guests. That evening, two hundred guests arrived for the reception.
The groom introduced me to his best friend of thirty five years. And it clicked. I got to watch this man get married. His best friend didn’t.
That’s when I realised…
I’m not just taking photos.
I’m witnessing something that even the people living it don’t fully see.
That’s a privilege. And I don’t take it for granted.
HERE’S THE THING
Most of the day, you won’t notice the camera. Catching your nan doing that thing she does. Your dad holding it together, barely. The two of you, ten minutes before it all kicks off, just looking at each other.
That’s 80% of what I do. Real moments, unposed, unfiltered.
The other 20%? That’s when we sneak off for ten minutes, and I make something that stops people in their tracks. A frame that only happens because I saw it.
Both matter. You get both.
THE WORK
No dark and moody. No trend-chasing. Honest colour, honest light, shot to look right in two decades, not just on the day.
FROM COUPLES WHO’VE BEEN THERE
WHO THIS IS FOR
If you want a photographer who’ll bark instructions, reposition you every five minutes, and spend half the day making you pose while your guests wonder where you’ve gone, I’m probably not your person.
But if you want someone who’ll get on with your groomsmen, have a proper laugh with your mum, keep everything moving without you noticing, and then hand you a gallery that makes you feel all of it again?
Yeah. That’s what I do.
I shoot 25 weddings a year. That’s a deliberate choice, so I can give every single one my full attention. No conveyor belt. No assistant shooting half your day. Just me, properly invested in yours.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Before the day, we’ll have a proper chat. Not a 47-question questionnaire, a conversation about your people, your plan, and what matters to you. I’ll help shape a timeline that actually works without everything feeling rushed.
On the day, you won’t be thinking about me. I keep things moving, handle whatever comes up, and make sure the ten minutes we steal for portraits are ten minutes you’ll actually want back.
When your gallery lands, usually within six weeks, it’s the full story. Morning nerves to last song. Everything in between.
Pricing starts from £2,500 for full-day photography. No hidden extras. What I quote is what you pay.
I shoot across Shropshire, Staffordshire, the West Midlands and throughout the UK.
Manor houses, barns, city venues, the middle of a Scottish hillside at golden hour.
If you’re still deciding on a venue, I’ve put together guides to some of my favourites:
